because I'm self-employed. My podcast is my income and all the other things I do like holistic

health coaching. I'm self-employed and so for years I've had to buy my own health insurance,

which usually our family of three pays $1,400 a month for okay health insurance. It's not that

great because we still have to pay $9,500 out of pocket before we really start getting coverage.

So it's been just very expensive and we can only see our car tractor 10 times a year. We can only

see our nature path a few times a year like why we get one free visit a year which and then

everything else is just pretty much out of pocket. It's been very stressful to have to pay for

our own health insurance and talking to a lot of my friends even their health insurance is covered

by their jobs is really not that great and then a lot of my friends end up either buying a secondary

health insurance to kind of try to pad on and compensate for what they have or some of my friends

simply don't have health insurance at all. I have one who she just had surgery to remove a benign

and she doesn't have health insurance. It's really scary out there. Her husband's work provides

health insurance but her that the insurance they sell to the employees is so incredibly expensive

and it's the way worse coverage than what I have at $1,400 a month. Now I'm from Canada originally

so this concept of paying for health insurance and having to go on the market every year and go

on the exchange right I have a broker that I talk to and having to shop for your health insurance

to get locked into for a year. It's been super stressful. I look at spreadsheets and compare them all

but at the end of the day I've never had a good experience with any health insurance company

since I've been self-employed back in 2010. So I've been looking and looking and looking. I have a friend
