In the late 80s, lesbian couple Rebecca Wright and Claudia Brenner were enjoying a hiking and

camping trip along the Appalachian Trail.

Unfortunately, they were no strangers to homophobia.

They'd learned to keep their romantic relationship low-key and underwraps in public, since people didn't often react well back then.

They'd been victims of verbal abuse for it before, but on this camping trip,

they would be stalked and hunted like animals, simply for falling in love with each other.

Today we're going to be talking about the horrifying attack on Rebecca and Claudia.
