So today we're going to be talking about an American serial killer named Jerry Brudos, or Brudos, but I'm pretty sure it's Brudus.

And Jerry Brudus goes by a multitude of nicknames, of course, the shoe fetish layer, but he's also known as the lust killer. And I'm sure you can

imagine how a serial killer might earn the name the shoe fetish slayer. This is a two-part

series. So this is part one, part two is going to be out in the next few days. But before we get

into it, I just want to give my usual disclaimer that I mean absolutely no disrespect to anyone that I talk about in this video.

A quick warning before we start, this case does involve themes of sexual assault and rape.

So Jerome Henry Brudos, better known as Jerry Brudos, was born on January 31st, 1939 in Webster,

South Dakota in the US, just seven months before the Second World War began.

He was an accidental pregnancy to his mother, Eileen, and his father, Henry Brudus.

They already had one child, a son named Larry, so that makes Jerry the youngest of two boys.

And since they already had a son, when Eileen fell pregnant again, she kind of really hoped it was going to be a girl, so she'd have one of each, a son and a daughter.

But of course, Jerry was born a boy.

And Eileen always held resentment towards Jerry for that,

for not being the daughter that she wanted.

She made no secret that Larry was the favourite child,

and he just got such a better upbringing by the exact same people.
