Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to Talk About the Bible.

For those of you who are joining us for the first time, my name is Christian Keeter.

And I actually received an email recently that the title of this email that this in the subject line, both encouraged me

and also made me laugh. The email was entitled, Great Podcast, Who Are You? And so Bear, if you're

listening to this, I appreciate your email and also the feedback you provided

but in this email the uh the listener suggested hey man let people know who you are i mean you have

people coming in for the first time and you're just some nameless host and so um for those of you

who are just joining for the first time like like I said, my name is Christian.

I live in North Carolina with my wife Lacey and our daughter, Felicity.

I'm on staff at an international discipleship ministry called Mentoring Men for the Master.

And I actually have the privilege of teaching there this weekend.

We have weekly meetings in which we have both a teaching in a small group time.

And the content that I'm going to share with you guys today is actually also what I'm going to be sharing tomorrow.

But, you know, if the Lord has given you something to say, then you want to say to everyone who will listen.

So let's get into it.

What are we talking about today?

Well, for starters, I want to point out a common experience that every believer has, and it's an experience that you have pretty quickly upon following Jesus. So, you know, you get born again, you get

saved, and you start going to church, you start reading your Bible, you start praying,

and it doesn't take too long for you to realize that this, this path, this walk is actually hard it's actually difficult it doesn't take long for us to

find ourselves with the apostle paul in roman seven where he says i don't do the things that i want to do and the

very things that i do i hate you know he says i don't understand myself i don't even understand things that I want to do, and the very things that I do I hate.

He says, I don't understand myself.
