| 1:13.2 | we'll call it a church system that was highly judgmental. In fact, the religious leaders were at |
| 1:18.8 | the top. There were all kinds of rules and boundaries about who was in and who was out. Again, |
| 1:25.4 | a highly judgmental context. It was not safe for those who were considered |
| 1:29.0 | unclean, like lepers, the blind, the broken, tax collectors, Romans, Samaritans, Gentiles. Jesus enters |
| 1:38.6 | into this context and he smashes it. And he creates a safety for a whole new community called the community of Jesus. |
| 1:48.3 | And so we see places like in Luke 7 where a sinful woman basically comes into this Pharisees |
| 1:54.4 | house when Jesus is having dinner and wipes his feet with her tears and washes them and dries them with her hair and she's just she's so |
| 2:03.3 | safe to be with jesus and again tax collector's sinners those who are outcasts felt extremely self-s |
