Motherhood is a season of life that I have recently entered into.

Zach and I have been married for almost 13 years, but I became a mom three years ago

through adoption to two amazing boys, but I am telling you, like I have been on the bandwagon of like

biblical motherhood and you know through Girl Define and talking to cheering moms on and

then when I became a mom I was like whoa this is so much harder than I thought and the temptations and the lies that I found

myself like wanting to believe just things I saw on social media of what a good mom is or

this mom with this perfect house or you know you can have it

all still like becoming a mom shouldn't change anything about your life and how you do

things like all these lies and I found myself struggling like wow I thought I was just going to coast right into this motherhood thing and rocket

But that has not been the case. I mean by God's grace. I have done something's well, but I've also struggled and I know for a lot of our

listeners for a lot of you tuning in who are moms you feel those struggles of

that tension of like okay is taking care of my kids like all day my toddler wiping their nose feeding them like is this

really that valuable is this really successful work I'm not even getting paid for

this right and if you're single you might have some preconceived ideas like I did about motherhood and how easy it's going to be or how you're going to rock it or maybe lies that you're buying into right now about motherhood like your life ends when you become a mom or motherhood isn't

really that valuable as a single woman you this is a great opportunity for you to

stick around I want to encourage you do not tune and do not leave because if you think there's any

chance in your future that you are going to become a mom someday, this conversation is just

as much for you as it is for those of us who are already in the season.
