What's going on, guys? Welcome back to the Jeremy Scott Fitness Podcast and radio show. Today, I'm chatting five important life questions. Basically, these are self-questions. You guys can ask yourself and I've asked myself over time, and hopefully it shed some light on what you guys are kind of going through week to week, month, month and year to year. So there's basic things, nothing super complex or crazy.

0:24.1

I'm not going to sugarcoat it here, just some straight up life truths of things we see from

0:28.3

people in our coaching groups and, like I said, things that I ask myself.

0:32.9

Maybe not on a daily basis anymore, but definitely did a certain stage or chapter of my life, if you

0:38.4

will. So, question one, I don't like what I look like, would be the question we hear from people,

0:45.1

or they're unhappy what they look like. What do I do if I don't like what I look like, or with my body,

0:49.6

XYZ, you guys fill in the blanks, we've heard it it before my biggest answer uh obviously be active every single

0:56.1

day uh move your body for at least 30 minutes i would say um all 365 days per year now it doesn't

1:02.0

mean you have to go in and crush your metcon and do some crazy shit but you have to be active

1:06.5

and i don't want to get on a huge serious kick here, but it's a gift that you guys can be active.

1:11.1

You can run, you can jump, you can move, you can skip, you can do a lot of really cool things. Your legs work, your heart works, odds are you guys listen to this, have two arms and two legs that function at a really high level. A lot of people don't. There's people stuck in wheelchairs and hospital beds and paralyzed and they don't have access to everything you have access to. It's a gift to be able to do fitness as a leisure activity, especially the people in other countries who don't have access to what you have access to. So again, my first step, just move every single day, at least 30 minutes. If nothing else, just go for a walk. Obviously, you can sweat and get your heart rate up. It's even better. The other big thing, obviously eat real food. Nutrition is a huge part of it. Obviously, you have to eat a certain way if you want to look a certain way. But real basic things outside of that, like for a lot of you guys, things that raise your confidence level naturally, like getting a haircut, shaving, maybe a new pair of jeans or pants or something that just makes you feel better about yourself goes a long way. And the last thing, which is probably the biggest thing, you have to change your mindset about how you think about yourself and what you look like. And what I mean is a lot of people have like a, I don't want to go as far as to say like a body dysmorphia, but what we do is this. We overanalyze things or we focus on the

2:18.2

negative things and not the positive things. So meaning if you are a person who's blessed to be able to

2:22.3

work out and eat right and train and that's a part of your life, what we do is we get out

2:27.2

the shower, for example, and we'll look in the mirror. And what we do is we focus on the two or

2:31.6

three things we fucking hate about ourselves and we stare at them. We magnify them and we pinch them and we look at them and we prod them. And we get almost like this psychosis about it, which makes it 10 times worse in reality than it is for us. Like we create this fixation. Oh, my stomach is too thick or my butt is too big or my arms or whatever. You can fill in the blank. You know all all of us do this and what we fail to do is we fail to focus on the 8000 positive things we

2:55.2

have going on but we focus on the two or three negative things and so my advice to you guys if you

2:59.4

don't like how you look every day be active eat real food give it time do things that make you

3:05.5

feel good about yourself and stop over analyzing and

3:07.8

stop beating yourself up over two or three things that are not perfect and focus on all the

3:12.3

positive, awesome shit you have going on. Number two, we hear this all the time.

3:17.4

Jeremy, I don't like my job. I don't like what I do. I hate it. XYZ. You guys were out there

3:22.3

doing like the kind of nine to five office pool if you hate the
