| 0:00.0 | Yo, yo, yo, what's going on? Welcome to the fit, healthy, and most of all happy podcast. |
| 0:05.0 | I'm our coaching host, Josh, here with his co-host and co-coach, KG, and I'm on the microphone. |
| 0:10.7 | Motivation Monday. So we are here to share some fire quote, share some thoughts, some things that we've really just kind of been thinking on in terms of fitness, health, happiness, routine, self-development, all these great things, as well as answer your questions. And we have a really jam-packed episode. So let's kick it away |
| 0:21.5 | with my quote. So my quote is coming at you from Seneca. And it's that we're tight with property |
| 0:26.3 | and money, yet think too little of wasting time. The one thing that we should all be the toughest of misters. |
| 0:31.9 | So what he's getting at here is that we so freely will be concerned with how much we spend, |
| 0:38.6 | with the things we have, with things that really are trivial, that come and go, that don't last |
| 0:44.3 | forever. But time is our most finite resource. And you hear this all the time. Like billionaires in |
| 0:49.1 | particular, they'll say the one thing they can't buy that they wish they could is time it's that currency that we all have a certain amount of and we don't necessarily know how much of it we have either so it's really important we're aware and we're being maximal with it and it just this quote really shook me because it made me think how can I maximize day? How can I make sure each day I'm left |
| 0:53.8 | fulfilled? I'm doing things I like. I'm doing things that challenge me. I'm really just being |
| 1:11.2 | aware of it and not necessarily being concerned with other small little things. Like as he mentioned |
| 1:15.5 | here, property and money. It's so easy to be so concerned with these novel little things and not |
| 1:20.4 | really experienced life and live life. I mentioned before the |
| 1:25.4 | quote, be alive and really live. You want to make sure that each day has its stamp. It has its |
| 1:28.5 | excitement. It has something going for you that you can enjoy. And this quote really just inspired me |
| 1:33.0 | with that. And I'll have a little bit more to add in my thoughts, but that is my quote for this week. |
| 1:37.5 | Very well said. And I'm just going to jump right into mine here, which is people are working harder than ever, but because they lack clarity and vision, they aren't getting very far. They, in essence, are pushing a rope with all of their might. And this is from Stephen Covey, who's the author of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. And I was just looking through some of his stuff, mainly because we're doing a book challenge for anyone who is part of our 60 day challenge. We have to read an amazing growth book. And I recommended some of my top ones. And that is definitely in my top five. But I really like what he said. And it's just, I do think that a lot of people just don't have the right direction and just the right path that they're on. |
| 1:41.4 | And especially within fitness, I always like relating these things, as you know, back into fitness. |
| 2:18.2 | And I think there's just a lot of time spent. You know, we're going back to time. Josh's little thing there, which is awesome. but just on the wrong stuff, just the things that aren't actually going to give you the best bang for your buck and just not even sure what you're actually striving for and just going down the wrong road essentially, which is just going to have you go back, have you go backwards and just have you making no progress. So I really like this quote and it's just something that really stood out to me. So hopefully it resonated with you in some way or another. And that's all I have for my quote for this Monday. And once again, if you see a quote you like, write it down, save it. Sometimes we'll get into motivation longer, but I'm not feeling motivated. I'll look through certain quotes. I've even mentioned before how it's really nice in those moments to be able to pull from those great quotes so you can be inspired and fired up. Like if you're tired in the gym and you want to just quit and end the workout and you think |
| 2:22.1 | don't stop when you're tired, stop when you're done. |
| 3:08.1 | That's fuel in your pocket. |
| 3:10.2 | That's going to get you going. |
