There's so much info out there today about health and fitness about strength training, but what's overrated and what's underrated?

You know, there's so many concepts, so many ideas, so many theories. So today we're gonna address things such as protein powder, chains, shrugs, calf raises, overhead pressing, and more, and let you know if I think they are overrated or underrated.

So we have a bunch of those today that I sent a Leonard. He picked them out. We really haven't gone over this. We're just going to go off the top and see how it goes. So Leonard is here and let's get to it.

Yo, so first up, we got Thai and sell who wants to know if protein powder is over or underrated.

I think it is, you know, for those who know little about training, it's probably overrated. Like, and I think you could probably relate to this.

When we were younger, we were kids and you first started taking protein powder, you're like, you know, I'm going to get huge because of this.

But none of that ever happens. This is the same thing as eating eggs or yogurt or beef or chicken or fish. It's just protein. It's just a macronutrient.

So there's nothing magical about it. Nothing happens. That doesn't happen from eating chicken.

So I think it's overrated. If you don't know, I think if you're someone who's super busy and in a rush and you're traveling, you're on the go all the time, then it's probably underrated.

I mean, I definitely talked to a lot of clients that are like, yo, man, I just can't eat that much food. I can't chew that much food all day.

And to them, it doesn't even occur to get a protein powder, right? So it's like, like my friend Steve, he just turned 60. He was my next door neighbor for 10 years in LA.

He's down in Miami and we went to his birthday party. And he's like, hey, can you help me out? I really got to lose some weight. I got to get in shape.

And I told him, you know, the easiest thing you could do is get a gram of protein per pound of body weight. I think it weighs like 200 pounds.

And what he was eating now is like, maybe a hundred grams, right? So that'd just be so much for him to get that I said, hey, let me send you a link to some protein, get this protein and just mix up 50 grams a day in between meals. Super easy for you.

That gets them on the on the road. Yeah. So I think, I think, you know, novice meat heads overrated for the average person underrated.

All right, side Gregory PT wants to know if shred shrugs calf raises or the trap bar deadlift are over or underrated shrugs are probably overrated in that.
