I am reminded of the fact that does usually seem to rain about up until and just through

the 4th of July.

I remember as a kid being very disappointed in that because I wanted to light off fireworks.

Now I'm an older fellow with two standard poodles living with me, and they don't like the fireworks.

And so I'm just fine with it being rainy right now.

I'm just fine with tamping down and dampening the fireworks enthusiasm.

Speaking of the dogs, actually, their last day out here at the Madrona Hill studio. As Lord's Machine says, the dog days are over. Gigi and DJ are going to be going to be heading back down to Portland later today when I take them down there. If nothing else, it's been a lot of good content for the program, so gosh, I don't know what we're going to do.

At least we've gotten them around for one more episode, as we've made it to episode 4,761 in a collector series.
