Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast. This is Mary Meckley and I honor you for showing up for yourself today. I know that it's not always easy to find the time to meditate. It's kind of like exercising or eating well. It's one of those rituals or habits that requires some discipline.

0:25.6

And so here you are, you did it, you showed up for yourself.

0:30.6

And I want you to know that the 10 minutes we spend today may just be the most important part of your day because meditation

0:41.2

benefits your entire life.

0:44.3

So let's get you started on a meditation where this is a special day.

0:50.3

Every Friday I release a guided meditation meditation combining all the different meditation techniques

0:57.8

that we've explored throughout the week. And so we continue with our theme of letting go and

1:04.7

releasing negative emotions. So you're going to be combining the different meditation techniques

1:10.1

from this week into one meditation.

1:14.4

And because it's Friday, I always share an herb with you.

1:18.9

I like to think of Friday as SIP and Om Friday because the herbs can benefit you in the same way as many of the meditation techniques. As always, you want

1:29.7

to check with a physician to make sure that the herb you try out doesn't interfere with any other

1:36.9

medications that you may be taking or that just may not support you. I had a cup of camamil,

1:44.0

organic camamil yesterday, and I ended up with

1:48.4

the worst stomachache. So who would have guessed camomile tea would do that to me? But when I

1:54.2

sip it on an empty stomach, which I did first thing in the morning with nothing to eat, it gave me

1:59.9

this achy stomachache all morning until I had a full

2:04.6

breakfast. So the herbs are powerful. They work. Just make sure the herbs are going to support you

2:12.1

the way you want. So the herb that I recommend for you today, before you get started in your meditation, go

2:20.3

ahead and settle yourself down and start to get comfortable.

2:24.3

And you can just relax as I share with you the herb.

2:29.3

Now this herb is an herb I'm sure you've not heard of.
