game with today's podcast episode. And this is definitely something that's been on my mind a lot

over the past few weeks. Hence a few of the recent episodes also kind of touching on this topic.

Most founders don't feel free,

even if they work for themselves. The myth out there is that entrepreneurship equals freedom.

This beautiful 4th of July is the day that we celebrate our freedom, freedom of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,

freedom that was won by blood, sweat, and tears of those before us. But as you can see,

by studying the course of history, freedom is not a one-time event. Freedom may have been declared in 1776,

but freedom is maintained through our efforts that continue today. As entrepreneurs, we continue to chase that freedom.

You become an entrepreneur to get out of the rat race.

You start your own business to leave the 9 to 5.

That's the message, that's the dream, that's what sells on the social media content.

But the reality is you're off the clock of a 9 to 5, but when you own your own business, you're never truly off.

Sure, as your own boss, you can say no, but you don't.

All you've done now is you've built up a new job with worse hours, more pressure, and even less stability.

The funny thing is, as a business owner, it's not that you don't have freedom, it's that you're not using it.

Let's break down what freedom really means as a business owner. Freedom, as an entrepreneur, goes beyond just time and money. Sure you do get some time freedom. If you're
