Welcome to the Hunts back country podcast in the first in-depth episode of the Experience Project.

The Experience Project marks a shift in the podcast for the next couple months,

really for the summer of 2024 as we lead up to the culmination of the experience project

that will end in several hunts that we are embarking upon in Alaska. As part of the experience

project, we are going to discuss the gear, the hunt, and the hunter, not only sharing about the

context of our specific hunts this year, but really the culmination of our collective experience

over the past decades.

And as an example of that, today we're talking all about footwear for hunting

and why a lot of the common wisdom and advice about hunting boots is actually quite wrong.

In this episode, we have a very in-depth conversation between myself and

Steve about what we look for with hunting footwear and a lot of the misconceptions that exist

out there. Not only do we have this conversation on the podcast, which is a couple hours long,
