Summary
The Body Positive Community was a saving grace for me for several years. It helped me find peace and freedom and hope in moving away from being diet addicted and body obsessed. But, it also became another space where there were rules to follow and right and wrong ways to be body positive.
Following the body positive “rules” blindly felt good, until they didn’t. I had to do some work around what being body positive meant to me. And how could I be body positive and *still* want to lose weight. This exact discussion came up in one of my 1:1 sessions this week, so this week I’m bringing it to you.
Inside this episode I teach you how to shift things around in your brains so the even if you’re someone who wants to lose weight, you can still do it from a place of gratitude and respect, even if the body positive police disagree.
This message, like all of my messages, come down to: decide what makes YOU feel good and what feels good for YOU to think. And then, let the others think whatever. As long as you’re doing what feels right to do, you can’t mess it up.
I’ve also launched my latest offering, Intuitive You. A four week course where we’ll dive into how to onboard and insource more of your thoughts, feelings and actions, so that you can live your life with intention and purpose. Registration is only open until October 1st, with the group kicking off October 2nd.. Join us at ashliemolstad.com/intentional-you
See you inside💥

| 1:37.7 | if you guys have followed my journey, |
| 1:39.9 | you probably heard me talk about |
| 1:41.2 | that I used to be a serial dieter. I spent years and years |
| 1:45.4 | and years hating my body and doing every diet under the sun trying to find the |
| 1:50.4 | solution that would basically make me love myself. I did not know that's what I was searching for. I thought I was searching for six-pack abs. |
| 1:57.0 | What I was actually searching for was peace and acceptance of who I am. And it was so much easier for me to say |
| 2:06.3 | that I'm unhappy because of my body. |
