Today's episode is a little different. My two guests today are my oldest daughter's

0:09.6

Amanda and Lily, and while they haven't yet won a Nobel Prize like some of my other illustrious

0:14.5

guests, I think they'll have something interesting to say. They're thoughtful 21-year-olds

0:19.0

trying to figure out their place in the world, which isn't always easy.

Welcome to People I Mostly Admire, with Steve Levitt.

1:32.8

I'm majoring in psych and minoring in econ.

1:36.1

Now I have to say, it surprises me a little that you're minoring in econ because at least

1:40.7

when you were young, you did not seem to be a budding economist.

1:44.8

So we were a household where, as you might imagine, since I'm economist, there were a lot

1:49.6

of incentives used, positive, and sometimes negative, to try to get people to do things,
