Hi this is Steve. A few weeks ago I got into an argument with someone on

Facebook about the meaning of the word fact. For him a fact was not connected to

reality or truth but rather just another word people use to describe their beliefs.

It shouldn't surprise me. Today instead of facts all we hear about is fake news,

bias networks, dishonest newspapers, corporate interests, and mainstream media.

Whether you think journalism is under attack or attacking America, I think we can all agree that

our country is stronger with an active, honest, and intelligent press, and there

is no movie that explores the importance of great journalism more powerfully than Alan J.

Pacula's All the President's Men.

Based on the Watergate scandal, all the President's Men

and uncompromising quest for the truth

brings down a government and changes our nation forever.

It stars Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman along with a fantastic ensemble cast

is written by the great William Goldman, filmed by Gordon Willis, and produced with an incredible

attention to detail and accuracy. This is, without question, a great film, thrilling,

emotional, and endlessly fascinating.

But it's also an important one, particularly today as it shows that facts, real facts, exist,

and they are worth searching for.
