Summary

Sabrina Imamura has been a swing with Hamilton since 2017 starting with the original Angelica Tour and including stops on Broadway (twice), the Eliza Tour (the Los Angeles sit down), the And Peggy Tour (which kicked off in Puerto Rico), and is currently on the Philip Tour.

Sabrina started dancing and playing piano at three years old, with ballet being her first love and main focus. After a lot of success in the world of contemporary ballet and concert dancing, she graduated from the University of Michigan and began auditioning in New York City. Soon after, agents started sending her out for musical theatre. She didn't have a book, she'd never taken a voice lesson, and other than absolutely loving Phantom of the Opera, Sabrina had no *actual* musical theatre experience. Do you think that stopped Sabrina? ABSOLUTELY NOT. She grabbed her "Think of Me" sheet music, used her extensive piano skills to help her rehearse the vocals, harnessed what she called "fake confidence", and she walked into those audition rooms ready to go.

Most of the time, Sabrina was called in for what she calls "Asian specific" shows and roles. That changed when Hamilton came along in 2016, which was also the first audition room where Sabrina got the information she was craving: the intention behind the movement, the story, not just the what but the why.

0:49.6	I am. So actually, this January of 2025, oof, will be my eight-year anniversary of working with
0:59.0	Hamilton. Wow. And yeah, I am currently a swing. Prior to being a swing on this current
1:07.8	Philip tour, I have always usually been woman one. I've done woman one and
1:13.1	woman four. So I've usually been on stage, but kind of wanted to switch it up and see what offstage
1:17.9	looked like. Yeah. And you've been in like almost every iteration of Hamilton in the United States, right?
1:24.1	I think I have. Yeah. My original tour was the Angelica OG national tour in 2017,
1:32.1	and then I did Broadway twice, and then I did the Eliza tour, which was the Los Angeles sit down
1:39.7	in 2020-slash-20-1 when we came back or 22.
1:45.9	And then I did the Anne Peggy Tour, which was the company that originally started in Puerto Rico.
1:51.3	I came at the very end of that.
1:53.3	And then now I'm on the Philip Tour, which is the second national tour.
1:56.8	So I believe the only companies of Hamilton that I have not done are the international companies,
2:03.7	like the Germany company, Australia, London, and the international tour that just happened.
