In this episode, we go over the differences of the military diet and mediterranean diet. We do in depth and explain the pros, cons & so much more. Hope you enjoy!

Military Diet

What is it? - requires people to follow a low-calorie diet for 3 days and then return to regular eating for 4 days. Across the first 3 days, the diet restricts daily calorie intake to 1,400, 1,200, and 1,100 calories.

Lose 10lbs in 3 days- bold claims.

  • Includes lots of random things, grapefruit, bananas, apples, hot dogs, tuna, carrots, cottage cheese, vanilla ice cream, etc.
  • Despite its name, this diet does not relate to how people in the military eat.

Mediterranean Diet
What is it? The Mediterranean diet is a way of eating that's based on the traditional cuisines of Greece, Italy and other countries that border the Mediterranean Sea.

1:13.8

and most of all happy podcast and we're going to try something new today i mean we switch up the

1:18.4

intro so why not get a little bit crazy here we're going to be covering two very popular diets you've

1:23.8

probably seen these on tic talk on youtube on articles, wherever it may be. And we're

1:28.9

going to kind of let you know what they are. We're going to put them up against each other and kind of

1:33.5

say the perks and cons of each diet. So before we get into this, we're not a big fan of necessarily

1:39.1

subscribing to one diet, whether it be military, Mediterranean, keto, anything like that. It's not what I'm going to give the average person. I'm not going to say, hey, you got to do keto, you got to do high carb. You need to, that's not really how it works. You know, science is shown most people do best by kind of being at an accurate amount of calories, being in some degree of a deficit, utilizing the 80-20 rule, which is where you eat 80%, good, hearty, healthy, good for you foods, and 20% you have a little bit of fun. I find that's going to be most sustainable, and that's going to work a long time. Of course, you're going to lose a lot of weight if you go on a juice cleanse and you only drink juice. And the reason for that is because you're having way less calories, you're way less food volume but you're going to end up starving yourself being miserable having no protein

2:21.0

maintaining no muscle and feeling like garbage so saying so i do think there's a lot of theories and

2:26.9

thoughts and tools you can take from each style of diet that you could go ahead and apply into

2:31.8

your lifestyle to see success so these are going to be really valuable episodes i think this is going to be a ton of fun and super informative. So if you do enjoy this episode, please do let us know. You know, message us on Instagram. Klaus is F-F-I-T and or, you know, feel free to leave a review. It means the world and we'll do more of these. But without further ado, we're going to jump into it.

2:52.4

So what the heck is the military diet, first of all, Kyle? Yeah, so the military diet, I honestly, I couldn't believe just how many views. Like we spent a lot of time looking at, you know, views and just what people search and stuff to try to bring a lot of value to you guys as well. because, hey, if a lot of people are searching it,

3:06.4

there's going to be lots of people probably trying it out, right?

3:09.8

So with all that being said, a military diet essentially is, uh, to start off like three days of just like complete depletion, I guess you could say. And then you go back to regular eating for four days. Um, what's crazy is that like it has wild claims, right? So essentially it says you'll lose 10 pounds in three days, you know, which is obviously quite a quite a bold claim.

3:28.6

And like, you know, we'll go into the cons later on, but just to give you a little bit more insight and everything like that.

3:33.9

So essentially like the diet will restrict you from about 1,400 calories to 1,200 and then to 1100.

3:39.8

And it has a lot of like random things such as like grapefruit, bananas, apples, like there's hot dogs in there. Like, first of all, I really despise meal plans. So this alone is just one of the biggest things that I just really dislike is just they're more or less random. Like they include vanilla ice cream, like cottage cheese. like and what's crazy is like the views on some of these videos like one of our you know

4:00.2

good friends uh youtube or random like they include vanilla ice cream like cottage cheese like and what's crazy is like the views

3:58.2

on some of these videos like one of our you know good friends uh youtubeer pao rubello his favorite
