(37:00) - Question 3- Any tips on how to stay consistent with deadlifts and if it’s worth doing them or not cause they feel good but I’m worried they might be low key agitating my lower back as I’ve already got a small pain down there just from working and such? Or what to supplement them with instead?

| 0:00.0 | What's going on, everyone. Welcome to another episode of the fit, healthy, and most of all happy |
| 0:05.4 | podcast. As always, I'm your coach and host Josh here with his co-host and co-coach KG and I'm in |
| 0:12.1 | the house. Motivation Monday. So time to get motivated, prep, prepared for the upcoming week. |
| 0:18.1 | Even if you're not listening this on Monday, you're missing out because there's something nice about starting your week off right, maybe got a cup of coffee. You know, that's the way to do it. But our goal with these episodes is to inspire, to educate, as well as motivate you throughout your week and into your life. And we got some killer quotes to kick it off as we always do. And I'm going to go ahead and start it with a very simple quote |
| 0:38.3 | and that's just invest in yourself it pays the best interest so I love this quote because time and time |
| 0:44.1 | again you know people say what is the biggest regret you've had in your fitness journey in your |
| 0:48.2 | life whatever it may be and the honest truth is not investing myself sooner you know just spending |
| 0:53.5 | money on myself, |
| 0:55.0 | on my growth, on my knowledge, on my ability has always came back to me so much more so, right? |
| 1:00.8 | Like these are tools that you get for the rest of your life. You know, all the courses I've done, |
| 1:05.1 | all the education I've done, you know, it's all came back to help me help others more, to learn how to do things the right way, not the wrong way, saving myself from hardship, injury, and just to get better results faster. And this can be taken in any aspect of life. Now, even me and Kyle today, we were talking about like credit cards, for instance. And when I was young and I was lifeguarding, I started to save money. I read a ton of finance books. Like I read as much as I could and I really gave myself clear guidelines. And it's amazing how like we're not really taught these things, like how to be healthy. You know, gym classes more so around like, you know, going out playing sports, running around. You learn a few random things. But we don't learn the basics of nutrition, health, you know, working out, structuring it in your life. We don't learn about, you know, what foods are actually really good for you on our bad. You just know what you hear, right? And if you don't spend more time learning a deeper level, you're really selling yourself short. Same with, like I said, your finance, same with your education. And you're already doing a great job. You're investing in yourself by listening to this podcast |
| 2:04.0 | because there's two ways to invest in yourself with your money and with your time, in my opinion. |
| 2:08.7 | And both are incredibly valuable. If you're everyday listening to great minds, if you're |
| 2:13.3 | getting better in every little compartment of your life learning about different things, even I always like to say have that childlike curiosity. When you're a kid, you ask the dumbest questions in the world because you're curious how things work. Like I distinctly remember asking my parents, like who's the car that's the fastest ahead in the world if we're all driving? And it's like the silliest question, but it really was interesting to me. |
| 2:34.5 | And then I thought about it. |
| 2:35.5 | I'm like, okay, it's not a race. |
| 2:36.7 | All the roads aren't connected. |
| 2:38.0 | That doesn't really logically make sense. But sometimes it's fun to ask these silly questions. You know, it's like, why do I need to lock in my knees from the lap pull down? It's like, oh, it stabilizes me so I can pull more from my back. |
| 2:48.8 | And if I have that looseness, I'm going to be using my legs to kind of squat the weight up and down. |
| 2:53.1 | Like even if you are asking these silly questions, So I can pull more from my back and if I have that looseness, I'm going to be using my legs to kind of squat the weight up and down. |
| 2:52.8 | Like even if you are asking these silly questions, it's how you learn and when you have that deeper understanding and when you're not scared to ask some questions, when you really want to learn how things work, you're going to have an advantage. And we're really happy to offer that with our coaching. |
| 3:05.3 | The people that are signed up have not only lost weight, they've kept it off. |
