Hey everybody. First off, I've been saying for a couple years now that now is not the time for the

joint chiefs to take the nuclear codes away from Trump. Now is the time to give him the wrong codes. And you know what? I kind of have to

assume that they've already done that by now. My guest today is Rick Wilson, like all the other

founders of the Lincoln Project, who we've had on this podcast. He is a former Republican political operative.

But unlike Steve Schmidt and Stuart Stevens, Rick at least admits that he is deeply, deeply ashamed of everything he's ever done, not just on behalf of the Republican Party, but throughout the entirety of his life.

No, that's not true.

Now, one thing you should know is that we had this conversation on Monday, and this has been

kind of a busy week.

So this was two days after Trump's crazy hour-long

phone call with the Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensberger. I remember there was a question

whether that one was impeachable. You know, just find me 11,780 votes.

Just one more than I lost by.

Don't you think that might have been a little suspicious?

Yes, we did a complete recount, and it turns out that the president won by one vote.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, Mr. Secretary, who did the recount?

Well, you know, it wasn't so much a recount.

It was more that we just, we found 11,780 votes and the president won those 11,780 to zero in the batch of new votes that we found

under a table in a box.

It was 11,780 for President Trump and zero for former Vice President Joe Biden.

So there was very good reason at that point to conclude that maybe Trump was off his rocker.
