0:44.1

we have now been lifting for over 10 years which is awesome and I'm incredibly happy to say that

0:49.7

which is just really cool because it's definitely been a journey it's being a lot of fun fun and it's, you know, come with its challenges. And I think I've learned a lot of insightful things, a lot of interesting things. And we want to take a different spin on it, you know, in the typical episode and kind of cover some more themes and some deeper thoughts towards, you know, fitness, your relationship with fitness, nutrition, lifting, all these great things,

1:11.5

and just health in general, you know.

1:13.1

So there's going to be some great tidbits in here that you'll be really excited for.

1:17.9

So make sure you listen to the end because I promise you there is a lot of gold in this episode.

1:22.8

And there's a lot of things I wish I knew when I was starting my journey.

1:26.0

So I'm going to kick it off with a really fun one

1:28.2

and that is that you will never be at an endpoint. You know, there will never really be a point where you say, I've made it. I've done everything I wanted to do. You know, when you start, I'm sure everyone listened to this, you probably had a goal that seemed crazy. It seemed impossible. Maybe it was squatting a plate for the first time or doing a pull up or, you know, seeing your abs, right? And like most of us, you know, we accomplish those goals. We crushed them. We feel, feel good. And what happens? We move that goal post, right? And we keep pushing forward. And this is part of the beauty of the journey. And this is something I really love about fitness. And people ask me how I keep doing it and how I keep saying so, you know, kind of infatuated by it. And the best way to do that is by constantly setting these new goals. However, this can be part of the issue. You know, I'm sure you've seen the means. You see that there's a lot of means to say the days you start lifting are the days you become forever small,

2:37.0

you know, for guys or the days you always, you know, you'll never be exactly where you want to be. You know, you become hyper aware of these things. And that can be a tradeoff too, right? Like even I've been at points in my journey where I've been really lean, really jacked, really dialed in and I'll be like, ah, you know, I don't want to take this photo yet or make this piece of content because I know I'll look better in two weeks, you know, and like it just,

2:53.6

it keeps going and it keeps moving. And what I want to get with that is learn to love the process, but learn to really appreciate where you are and just to enjoy every component of the journey. You know, the more you can do that the better you can be and you know And, you know, like even just with that, you'll have times where we all really lock in on one thing. Maybe it'll be super strong, but you won't have that level of leanness that you wanted or it'd be really lean, but you won't be as strong. Or, you know, you got to appreciate these different phases and just constantly work to do better and be better, but don't put such a precedence on needing to look a certain way

3:08.2

or needing to have a perfect six-pack ads because there will always be something. You'll have
