Summary

We think showing mercy is a good thing, and something other people should do—we just don’t want to do it ourselves. Our culture doesn’t attach much value to showing mercy, and it doesn’t take much discernment to see that. In the way we parent, do business, and speak of others, we make it seem that taking advantage of another’s weakness is a wise decision that will benefit us. But Jesus said, "Blessed are the merciful,” and Pastor Allen Jackson reminds us that there is a spiritual Kingdom with benefits and blessings that will be reaped far beyond our days in the earth.

0:00.0	Well, I believe there is another realm of existence, a spiritual world, and unfortunately we don't

0:12.0	And then the greater realities, I think we don't want to learn much about that.
0:15.6	Maybe we'll tolerate a conversation around new birth or being born again or salvation
0:20.6	depending on the tradition you come from. We might even let you push
0:23.8	the envelope far enough to talk to me about baptism and why I would get in a pool
0:26.8	of water. But beyond that you know don't talk me about angels or demons or
0:30.5	miracles or praying or you know, no thank you. demons or
0:35.0	no thank you and that's church people's attitudes.
0:38.0	Well, I want to submit to you, we have a decision to make.
0:40.0	We have to decide if it's real or if it's not. And if it's real I would suggest
0:46.1	to you that it's important to learn about the properties of the spiritual world as it is to learn
0:52.0	about the properties of the physical world.
0:55.0	If you're unaware of the properties of this world, it's to your physical disadvantage.
0:59.0	And if you're unaware of the principles of the spiritual world, it's a great disadvantage to you.
