Hello Heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of One shot. I'm James Damato, your host and game master.

Heroes this week we are starting a brand new adventure with heartbeats. Designed by Keith Baker and Jen Ellis coming from the ultimate micro-orPG book collection. Heartbeats is a medical drama RPG and more specifically a medical melodrama RPG.

Players take on the role of both doctors and patients

in an overly dramatic hospital

full of tangled relationships and gripping storylines. have a little fun with that

if you've ever seen a show like ER or Gray's anatomy you kind of already know how this game's supposed to go

But of course my guests and I couldn't help but have a little fun with that concept.

I will say up top as a general content note for everything that you're about to hear.

This is a particularly irreverent parody and the character that I play in particular is a horrific villain as he ends up being a famously bad pediatric surgeon.

So think about that before you decide whether you want to go ahead and listen to this series.

But the game itself is great.

It's a perfect engine for having exactly that sort of irreverent fun.
