We're going to explore again, how do you prepare your business for sale and some of the common

misconceptions or mistakes perhaps that Mike encounters, because this is what he focuses on,

and perhaps determining if you

should sell your business. But certainly as Michael explained and I have given this a lot of thought

and experience as well is I think every business that we own, we should prepare for sale,

even if we're not intending to do so anytime soon. So that's what Mike and I are going to

of Exit Oasis. Exit Oasis provides coaching services and resources to help small business

owners like us prepare for the sale of their business. Over the last 25 years, Mark has bought,

built, and sold multiple businesses. Building his first business was a

rewarding challenge, as he says, but what really captivated him was the selling process, the

selling of that first business. Mike explains that selling his first business was a miracle

in his life. It changed everything, but it almost didn't happen. He was 10 years in with 50 employees when he

found out the business was unsellable. It was devastating, as you might imagine, but he moved forward

and focused on changing a few simple elements in the business. And those things made the first

sale possible, the first sale of that business, and it changes life.

He now focuses on helping other small business owners experience that same miracle.
