➢ DM “FREE TRAINING.”  to @Colossusfit to get our 5 easy steps presentation to help succeed no matter what season, or stuff you’re going through,

In today's episode we give you the ten fitness excuses we hear most, and how you can overcome them to see long term results.

“You can have results or excuses, not both.”

Listed points:

1- “I don’t have enough time”

  • If you’re close minded, it’s just never going to work.
  • What do we prioritize? We will always find ways to make time for everything we prioritize.

2- “I’ll do it later, or at a better time.”

  • No more procrastinating, now is the time.

3- “No energy to workout/ always tired”

4- “I’m getting too old, everything goes downhill at ___ age”

  • Your mind is a powerful thing.

5- No control over anything *especially cooking and meal wise.

  • How can we get control? is the question to ask. There are ALWAYS ways.
  • Asking the right question is everything to a better life.

6- “I don’t enjoy any of it, I’d rather do other things I like.”

  • Sad reality is that’s not how life works, we can’t do everything we love 100% of the time.
  • Tips for making it more fun, exciting, etc

7- “I just don’t know what to do.”

  • So much misinformation out there.
  • Follow the right people, especially on IG

8- “I Can’t seem to find a good balance between fitness and life”

  • There’s no such thing as perfect balance.

9- “I can’t stay consistent/feel like a failure”

  • This makes you not want to do anything which isn’t ideal
  • how can we create more consistency? once again- the right question is everything. High level questions can change everything.

10- “I don’t have motivation to do anything.”

  • Can’t rely on just motivation
  • Find a deeper why to help you out. Keep up Kids? Vacation? Strong until 80 years old? Find a DEEP why.

0:15.8

results or excuses, not both.

0:21.5

And, you know, recently we've been hearing some talk in the locker room. And, you know, this just really inspired us to make, you know, kind of covering the top 10 fitness excuses and how you can overcome them. So maybe there's a few of these you've been crutching on or using. And this might be a little bit uncomfortable to hear. but hey you know it's all about a little bit of tough love so we're going to give you 10 of the top

0:40.4

biggest excuses

0:41.3

and some solutions and you know these are things we've all had to overcome personally we've

0:45.6

helped clients overcome so it's going to be a very helpful and powerful episode take it away coach

0:50.7

kj yeah so honestly like jumping right into it um one of the biggest things is just not having time, right? You know, so we always hear, I don't have the time. I can't find the time no matter what. You know, to be completely honest. And once again, some of these things might be a little bit uncomfortable. And we're all humans. Like it doesn't make you a bad person if you have used these or to this day, you still use some of these.

1:11.0

Even myself, I had to catch myself slipping the other day.

1:13.5

And that's what actually inspired me to be like, hey, let's make this episode, right? Because I think it can help everyone out. But once again, time. Yes, we only have, you know, a certain amount each week, each day, each, you know, whatever it is. but, you know, we use it kind of how we want to, right?

1:27.1

You know, and what we prioritize, right?

1:28.7

Obviously, you know, you have a certain amount of time.

1:30.3

You have to dedicate to family, to work, to sleep and everything like that. But the extra time that there is there, we kind of use it for what we prioritize. And when you do have those non-negotiables, when it comes down to it just being a priority, right? And, you know, there's going to be some people who will still say,

1:45.0

I just, I can't make it a priority. And, you know, I would definitely question that to be completely honest. I've had some tougher conversations with clients and, you know, people who were wanting to be clients. I'm just like, hey, you know, once again, it's not like we have an infinite amount. Like, yes, there is only a certain amount. But genuinely think, and even just like an easy solution is, you know, to just cut out the things that are wasting your time. And I guarantee you, if we sat down for five to 10 minutes and thought about all the, you know, times that we use it to do something that's just not bettering us. You know, once again, I'm not, you know, hating on Netflix, but I will say just between social media, between just like kind of like pointless things that, you know, just, in terms of just wasting it, a lot of it adds up, right? So I just want to challenge you there. One of my biggest tips is just use a calendar, you know, keep track of where all of your time is going for one week. And I guarantee you, you're going to be absolutely blown away. And this will help a lot of you just be able to have more time and get the success that you want and deserve.

2:37.7

Yeah, I'm in that personal honesty.

2:39.0

I've heard this a lot and I say, okay, you know, like especially as a personal trainer, let's, let's break this down.

2:44.2

Let's go through your day.

2:45.3

And then as it's listed out, it's like, okay, yeah, there's a lot of different windows I can make things work. You even just being smart with scheduling like using a calendar is a great tool because even personally you know i've tried to think you know when can i complete things on drives like if there's a phone call you have to make obviously hands free that could be a great time to schedule it in if you know you have a long drive coming up or you know can you get up a little bit earlier to wedge in that gym to get it in and out of the way you know different things like that you know time and time again there's always a solution and you know i love to like i love it's a little bit more tough levy but i was listening to an audiobook recently and they were saying you know if you don't have 10 minutes to to meditate meditating isn't't your problem. You don't have a life.

2:49.9

And I was like, oh my gosh, this is like a little bit true. Right. And at the same time, like a lot of people say, oh, an hour of the gym is just way too much. But to me, we have 24 hours in a day. Yes, eight hours. You're likely sleeping. But that at least just with 16 hours, like, you know, one 16th of the day there has to be an opportunity

3:24.7

to wedge that in to take care of yourself and you know the the sad truth is maybe you think you don't
