Stephen King's Dark Tower series. My name is Constant Reader Scott Daly. And having completed

book one of the Dark Tower, I now grant my co-host and King Newby Matt Freeman, the honorary

title of Assistant Gunslinger. That is, Assistant to the Gunslinger. Nower now hold on now hold on i've read one book

of this series now i think that should count for something it does you're you're an assistant to the

gunslinger oh sorry you got it's a very short book matt i mean if you like i I have them all on my shelf right now, and I'm looking at them all. And like, this is a little splinter compared to everything else. So you got, you got some more work to do, sir. Okay. All right. Yeah.

As Matt stated last week on the show, we finished Dark Tower, book one, the gunslinger. This week, before we move on to book two in the series, The Drawing of the show, we finished Dark Tower, Book 1, The Gunslinger. This week, before we

move on to book two in the series, The Drawing of the Three, we're going to take a short

moment here and have a shorter episode to look back on the book as a whole. This episode is going to be

kind of a little bit different from the last three. Normally, we take pretty extensive notes

in the book, and we write those notes down

on a script and Matt and I are kind of using the script to base our conversation. So it's pretty

heavily scripted and controlled show. This is just freewheeling, baby. We're just going to go free

for them and just talk about this book as a whole. We're going to go over the overall themes of the book,

have some high-level discussions on the direction of the story,

and what we overall thought of the book,

maybe talk about the characters,

maybe circle back on some of the discussions we had

during the course of these three chapters

that we now have a little bit extra data on.

Just going to be like a fun hangout session, Matt.
