And today I am here having coffee with two good friends, Hannah Knits and Joe Caruso. So guys, thanks so

much for joining me for this conversation. Thanks, Julie. Yeah, thank you very much. Glad to be here.

Now, Joe, you are a pastor at Grace Church here in Ohio, and you are also on the board of directors

of authentic intimacy. So in some ways, that kind of makes you my boss.

Like one-twelfth of your boss. There you go. Yeah, that's kind of true. Yeah, so you have a lot of

oversight on the ministry as a board member. But you also joined me last summer for some of the episodes

we did on this series around surrender to sexuality. So you are no stranger now to job with Julie. People are getting used to your voice. It was interesting having people walk up to me and says, oh my gosh, you were on Julie's podcast. And I'm like, oh my gosh, there are people that listen to this. I mean, I knew there are people that listen to this, but no one's ever talked to me about your podcast before. Yeah, that's kind of funny. It was interesting.

So now you're making new friends.

It's not always the best feeling, though. Be honest, Joe. Sometimes you're like, wait a second. Depends on where the conversation goes after that acknowledgment. You're like, your mind goes, what did I share? No, exactly. Julie does this mean thing where you sit in a basement and you think, you know, we're just talking on the microphone.

You think it's just you two.

And then all of a sudden, thousands of people are like, oh, I listen to that episode on masturbation. What? Yeah. Right. Hey, I have sympathy, but that's my life all the time. Yeah. You don't really have sympathy.

This is my every day.

You knew what you're signing out for. It's true. But you both are very... This podcast is about what? Yes. You both are very courageous and brave. My seven-year-old did ask if he could come with me today. Really? He has a snow day. And I was like, you know what? Today's not the day, buddy.

I just took my daughter to a funeral with me.

Somehow that was better.

Then... snow day. And I was like, you know what, today's not the day, buddy. I just took my daughter to a funeral with me. Somehow that was better. Oh, wow. We'd rather talk about death and sex.

All right. At least at this. Hey, I get it, but they grow up. And then they're like, hey, I get it.

I get why you do what you do.
