We have moved into the space where sexual and romantic fulfillment has become the thing that we worship.

The misinformation that I was placing all on God is actually true about his enemy, not about him.

We know that Jesus isn't the kind of person who holds up a sign that says God hates faggots.

We don't know within the church that the gospel is good news for our bodies. It's not just good

news for our souls. Every sexual issue is also a spiritual issue. When sex becomes confusing,

God becomes confusing.

Well, welcome to Job with Julie. This is Julie and Hannah Nitz is with me and I'm so glad that you join me as we're kicking off this series Making Sense of God and Sex. Hey, thanks for being

with me, Hannah. So glad to be here. What a great series. Yeah, this is something I've been wanting to do for a long time.

I feel like I speak on this a lot.

But Job with Julie is an example of how we apply that to different topics.

But I'm like, we just need to do a series helping people navigate why God cares about sexuality

and how what we believe about God

really translates into what we end up believing about sexuality.

So taking a lot of the conversations that your listeners have known and loved,

but maybe taking it a step, what would you say, higher?

Like a higher view, bigger picture sexuality.

Yeah, sure. Or deeper.

Okay, either way.

Either way.

We're going either up or down, but we're moving somewhere.

But yeah, making God and sex make sense.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of us think the topic of sexuality is the separate issue.
