Alright welcome to episode 392. Hello my friend welcome to a fresh new episode

of new mindset who this as always thank you so much for listening thank you

so much for supporting me and today I want to talk about standards. I want to

give a quick story and then give some simple helpful perspective on what it

means what it actually means to have standards in life in your dating life

for sure but also just in general and how to never talk yourself out of having

a standard or to arrive at a conclusion that you're too picky for having them. So

I'll start with a quick story which is last weekend here in Chicago I was out

with a couple of friends and one of them Sean what's up Sean. Sean was telling

me a story about how when he lived in New York City a couple of years back he

had this interaction with a girl out at a bar one night he was out at this bar in

New York somewhere and he started chatting up with this girl who he described in

his own words as a New York 10 so take that for what's worth but he said they

were really hitting it off they were chatting they were they were doing the

thing and he says they were both clearly into each other there was you know

reciprocity there and so at one point he did the natural thing I suppose they

were both single he said hey you know we should go out on a date sometime what
