My opinion we are facing a circumstances that will lead us to one of two outcomes and the

outcome isn't clear to me. One possibility is the

awakening of God's people and a wide more widespread expression of heartfelt

repentance and God would respond with

expressions of grace and mercy and renewal. I think the alternative would be

expressions of God's judgment. I don't know that that outcome has been

determined. It isn't clear to me but I think those possibilities exist.

I'd like to take this session and next and look at the familiar story with us,

passages in the scripture that I suspect you know about as well as any

sections in the Bible. But I just want to walk through them with you, I offer a bit of

a running commentary, because I believe they have some very real parallels to what's happening in our world.

I wouldn't pretend to know the exact timeline, but I believe just as certainly as Jesus came the first time that he's returning to the earth.

And I believe many of the circumstances that were prevalent when he came the first time

will be prevalent when he comes the second time.

And I think the better we understand the characters in the narratives that are so familiar to us,

the better we can be prepared ourselves.
