Summary

When your brain is saying no, should you say yes? Probably, otherwise you might miss some of life’s best opportunities. But what if it's no your natural character? It is also good to know when to quit, to say no. In part 3 of my 2018 life lesson podcasts I hand over the mic to co-host Tom Bainbridge as he’s some awesome life lessons from this year. Discussing faking it till you make it, seizing opportunities & trying new things, relaxing gym time and dietary tracking, our hobbies and approaching life and it’s enjoyments. A very personal show from Tom, enjoy.

Hello everyone and welcome to Ben Kumbu Radio so for those who don't know the

0:04.4

sultry sound of my voice this is Tom the usual co-host and Ben has asked me to do

0:09.0

a little bit of a Monday micro show for you today just essentially reviewing my urine and the things that have happened and and most importantly the things that I've learned because hopefully some of the things that I've learned I can tell you and then you can put these things into practice so you can

0:24.0

include them into your your worldview and it'll save you a bunch of time anyway

0:29.1

because these things take a while to learn I suppose and I'm just going to dive straight into it because I think

0:34.6

whenever we do a year review it's quite hard to do because it doesn't matter who you are.

0:41.6

No two people are going to have the same year, no two people will have seen the same events,

0:45.4

no two people have had the same experiences, and so it's difficult to review a year.

0:49.8

What I'm instead going to do is I'm going to kind of review two big things that have

0:53.2

that have affected me and two big things that have changed the way that I view things

0:57.5

because I do feel as I think most of us do I think this is quite a common thing

1:01.6

like I wouldn't say this is special but I do feel like I've changed

1:04.7

quite a lot this year and that's not always a comfortable thing to think about and think

1:10.3

back and think God a year ago I was a slightly different person but I think if we all do it if we all reflect

1:16.1

then you'll probably come to the same conclusion that I did but part of this was just

1:20.9

incidental because as I say you go through a year you

1:23.3

experienced things you see things and do things and that changes you but also there was

1:28.0

some conscious effort on my part shall we say so I'm just going to tell you what

1:32.3

those two things are that I have been doing this year and the outcome that I've got from them and hopefully you might learn something, you might find it interesting.

1:40.0

So, the first thing that I've been trying to do this year is to focus a little bit more on

1:46.6

something that I tell other people to do anyway which is to fake it till you make it.

1:50.0

There's a really great quote from I think it was Richard Branson who said essentially if someone
