This is a Toronto-based podcast. I'm still in Europe, but the spiritual home is Toronto. I still pay taxes in Toronto. And therefore,

I wouldn't mind kicking things off on this episode with just a little bit of local Toronto news.

You know, wouldn't that be fun? Don't you think our American listeners would enjoy that?

I do think it would be fun. In the same way that I've asked that we discontinue that Great White North song, whatever

the hell that is, whenever we do Canadian content. I feel like in the spirit of Canadian nationalism,

we don't need to introduce ourselves as a Toronto-based podcast. In the same way that, like,

Brooklyn-based podcast just treat New York as like, like the default neutral thing.

Like the neutral and universal subjectivity is to be in Brooklyn, New York.

We should just do that, but for Toronto.

And let the exposition reveal that we're in Toronto, as opposed to saying, a little bit of local flavor.
