Summary

Ok, this interview is a juicy one!! We are talking with Emily Nagoski about all things SEX like... - how to increase your chances of feeling a climax or orgam - how to talk to your partner about your sexual desires - how to release sexual shame during sex or while masturbating - different ways to masturbate and feel pleasure - how to feel more accepting of how you look "down there" - what sexuality is and what it's not - and so. much. more Emily Nagoski is a writer, sex educator, researcher, activist, and self proclaimed nerd. Emily went to Indiana University for a M.S. in Counseling Psychology and she continued on to earn a Ph.D. in Health Behavior with a concentration in human sexuality. Now, she is the award-winning  author of the New York Times bestseller, Come As You Are: the surprising new science that will transform your sex life. Her new book, Burnout, was released in 2019 which she co-authored with her sister Amelia to help women end the cycle of feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and feeling not enough. I have been dreaming of this interview with Emily ever since I read Come As You Are 4 years ago! It's a book I recommend to anyone who wants to get to know their body better and feel more informed, educated, and empowered by their sexuality. It truly will transform your sex life and how you see your sexuality in general! Let us know how you liked this interview by tagging @maryscupofteaa and @enagoski in your IG stories!!

Welcome to Tea Time with Mary. I'm your host, Mary Jolkowski. I'm a former bikini fitness model turned self-love advocate. And this is the podcast that will inspire you to love yourself.

Hey friends, before we begin, I just wanted to let you know that this podcast episode is

0:25.4

sponsored by my favorite books. Not literally, but I did create a book list for you with all

0:32.6

of my favorite books for self-love and body image and self-confidence and just overall self-healing and growth.

0:41.0

I am a huge personal growth person, and to be honest with you, a lot of the things that I talk

0:46.3

about come from the books that I've read. I'm a big reader and I always tell my little sister,

0:51.4

readers are leaders. And I love audiobooks. I love book books. I love

0:56.5

Kindle. I love all the forms of books. Just give me all the goods. So I decided to create a book list for you

1:03.4

with my top 25 favorite books. And I actually add to this list. So there's probably going to be more

1:09.3

than 25 books on it.

1:16.3

But I have narrowed it down to top 25 books that you need to read to start the self-love journey.

1:20.8

I'm not saying you have to read all the books right now, but you should have this list handy-dandy for when you're getting a book on Amazon or shopping in your audible or whatever.

1:25.2

So I've created this book list and you can get it at

1:28.7

Maryscup of tea.com slash books. And I will also put it in the show notes. And let me know how

1:35.6

you like these recommendations by screenshoting what you're reading and tagging me in your

1:40.3

Instagram stories. I always love seeing you use my recommendations. It just makes my whole day

1:45.4

because we're like a little community. So anyways, maryscup of tea.com slash books. Go get it.

1:52.2
