Let me ask you a question. Is God good when life isn't? I know that's a hard one to answer,

but I think today's episode could help. I pray it does. I remember the day is a sunny summer Brazilian one. My wife, Deenland, as many of you know,

lived in, we lived in Brazil during the 1980s or from much of the 1980s. This particular day,

we were spending the day with our dear friends, Paul and Debbie Redding.

Their house was a welcome respite.

Deeland and I lived downtown Rio, or almost downtown, and we were in a high-rise apartment.

And Paul and Debbie lived an hour away from the city center in a neighborhood,

a nice area where the air was cooler and the streets were cleaner

and life just seemed to calmer. Besides, they had a swimming pool. And our two-year-old daughter,

Jenna, loved to play with their two children. And that's exactly what she was doing that day

when she fell into the swimming pool. We didn't intend to leave the children unattended. We had all stepped into the
