Your point number eight touches on something that for me would be essential in the construction

of my own faith and that would be, you know, universality, you know, this impulse that

says we have a lot to learn from other people that we're not the arbiters or the possessors

of all truth and that we have a lot to learn and value and respect from others.

Is that pretty essential for you?

And does that still feel like it can be a Mormon impulse?

Some people today like to associate Mormonism with just exclusivity and superiority.

And I'm not hearing that in that point.

No, I think that's contrary to what Joseph taught and I meant to allude to some of that

before if I am under the illusion that I possess all goodness and all truth because I'm

a laddard.

I think that makes the 13th article of faith inert and wrong, doesn't it?

So in popular culture, any of us Mormons like any of us Americans or any of us Chinese

can imagine that we're at the center of everything.

If you live in New York, you think you're at the center of the universe sometimes, so

any that's not a Mormon problem, merely that's a human problem that we can get us or
