as you're listening to this or you're watching this, whether you feel that sense sometimes,

that logic is not enough, that that will only take you so far that there are

so many experiences in life that border on the edge of the mystical or are so beyond and

unimaginable to the logical part of our brains that we need something more, that we need

to move to use the words of this conversation, to poems and to prayers. We have here on the podcast,

my friend and a person you know, Matthew McConaughey, I mean, of course, he's an Academy Award

winner, yes, yes, he's a number one New York Times bestselling author of Greenlights, which just

had such a life of its own, my goodness, opened up. I remember McConaughey saying this to me previously, like

opened up a whole lane that wasn't open before, a chance for leadership, a chance to be a voice.

And one needs to add to that, that even before writing this new book, every interaction that we have,

whether in text or in person, I have been really taken with your choice of words.

They are distinctive.

They are different.

There's never a text response that sounds like a normal text response, and that's not

criticism, obviously, but it speaks to someone who's caring about words, who has built a life

from words, who is metabolizing life through words.
