I looked at my midwife and I just said, what do I do now?

And she said, well, if you're ready to go home, I will hold her and I will stay with her.

And then you go home.

And I will tell you that was the hardest moment of leaving my daughter in someone else's arms

when she should be coming home with me to walk away knowing I'm never going to hold my girl again.

I screamed.

And I almost feel bad for the other women who are there celebrating giving birth because I screamed that whole corridor.

And I just kept thinking, this is not real. I'm going to wake up, right? I'm going to
