I'm going to see 365 movies by December 31st at midnight.

Number 271, Heart of a dog. Boring for a lot of it,

but I'm kind of glad I saw it for the interesting moments. Directed, written, and performed by

performance artist Lori Anderson. It can get pretty deep, but the music and visuals can also be pretty dreary.

This is the first film in a while from HBO documentaries that I didn't love.

But they were back with number 272, three and a half minutes, 10 bullets about the trial of the white dude in Jacksonville, Florida,

who shot up a car full of black kids because their thug music was too loud.

Justice prevails, in my opinion, but it's touch and go as this dude and his attorney take advantage of Florida's stand-your-ground laws.

Speaking of dreary, which I was a couple of movies ago, number 273 is a real bummer.

A heavy drama called Meadowland about a couple trying to adjust to life after their young boy goes missing.

I watch this on demand because it stars Olivia Wild, but it's just a slow, sad slog.

Number 274, Creed, which has nothing to do with the band, of course.

At times it feels like a classic Rocky movie,
