My name is Doug, and this is Doug Loves Minis.

The show that can't believe Mission Impossible Rogue Nation got such a high number on Rotten Tomatoes,

coming to you from a hotel room in currently stormy Traverse City, Michigan,

home of the Traverse City Film Festival,

where I've seen 20 new to me films

so far on Sunday, August 2, 2015. On day 5, I got up, brushed off the disappointment of Rogue Nation.

Don't get me wrong, there are stunts and sequences in MI5 that I'll probably watch over and over again

on cable. I just didn't like it as a whole. And I saw four films, two of which are two of my

favorite films this year. Number 152 is one of them, Wild Tales from Argentina, which is the wildest, funniest, and flat-out best anthology film I've ever seen.

I mean, I haven't seen too many anthology films I like, so it's not much of a contest.

But this movie is really, really good.

I liked it so much.

I'm going to see it again tonight if the power comes back on,

just to experience it again with an audience.

I know I'll be checking out what comes next from writer-director Damien Chifron.

I hope I'm pronouncing that right.

Been hearing for a long time that Wild Tales is great, and now I can confirm it.
