Hello and welcome once again to the cinnophiles where this week we are embarking on another deep dive into the career of one of the greatest directors of all time. My name is Steve Morris. I'm a filmmaker and

directing instructor in Los Angeles, California. Hello everyone my name is John Roak, I'm a

writer, producer and and host, and voice

of artist here in San Diego, California.

And excited to be opening yet another season

on the Synophiles of a fantastic director and a director that has influenced a lot of us, I would say,

over the decades to fall in love with film, different types of film and challenge us, whether he succeeds or doesn't succeed,

in our appreciation of the medium of film.

And this one, strangely enough, came about very

way it did last year when we selected Quinton Tarantino, which is that every year we put out our

annual listener survey and we did just put it out.

And so you can fill out this year's.

And last time there were a whole bunch of Tarantino movies picked and so we went,

well we'll do a deep dive on Tarantino. Well this year that we've already done Wolf of

Wall Street as our first 2013 movie and the movie that was most requested from our early episodes where we

didn't do quite as extensive deep dives that they wanted us to redo. Our fans

wanted us to redo Goodfellas. And we got, Wolf of Wall Street we've already

done Good good fellows.

I think we're going to do a deep dive into the work of Martin Scorsese.

Yeah, yeah, I can't wait to have a lot of fun diving back into Scorsese films and revisiting some of the ones who've already spoken about.

Because what's great about when we revisit Steve too is we're also, we're older.

We're different.
