I think one of the most valuable insights and skills is understanding that whenever your mood

0:12.0

is low, that the way that you think about yourself and the way that you think about life

0:20.0

is deeply influenced by that.

0:22.6

And so if we look at the general ecosystem of our emotional life and spectrum,

0:33.6

you know, our emotional world is always expanding and contracting. So if you look at your

2:02.1

you think falling, and the space between breaths, you think sitting.

2:07.9

A nice, very useful mantra.

2:10.8

And the emotional world works in the same way.

2:14.4

You know, there's this period of expansion and happiness and optimism.

2:24.3

Then there'll be a period of kind of contraction where you might feel a little bit more tired

2:33.3

or burned out or down and low. And there's a period in between where you might feel a little bit more tired or burned out or down and low.
