| 1:03.1 | So I want to talk about the stoic warrior tradition, because there are two things, |
| 1:09.5 | stoicism and being a warrior that are sometimes confused |
| 1:14.9 | sometimes we discuss them in a way that doesn't really reflect what they are sometimes we discuss |
| 1:21.5 | masculinity even in a way that doesn't reflect what it's designed to be and we express it in a way |
| 1:27.2 | that often isn't the way it's designed to be expressed through |
| 1:31.0 | the immature male, the rage, the emotional state, all this stuff. |
| 1:36.9 | And then sometimes we think that being a warrior always means acting and sometimes it means |
| 1:43.9 | restraint. We think that being stoic always means restraint. Sometimes it means acting, and sometimes it means restraint. |
| 1:44.4 | We think that being stoic always means restraint, and sometimes it means acting. |
| 1:48.1 | So I think these things together tell a story of what it means to be, you know, the warrior poet, I guess, the Stoic warrior. |
