Welcome to Citizen.

We're going to talk about a lot of things today, some history, but really what this show is about is to give you

historical context for and I guess motivation for why you need to be educated on all of these

issues that we always talk about. The Constitution, Western philosophy, Western history.

The history of the Constitution itself,

why we made the decisions we did,

all of this stuff.

It's all very important.

And I think once you hear what I have to say, then it's going to make a lot of sense to you.

It'll make a lot of sense to you that literacy in this regard is one of the primary ways that you can make yourself and your community

resilient against this bullshit.

What we're going to talk about is being a threat to power.

A real threat.

Not in these larping fantasies of some kind of civil war that's never going to happen

or protesting,

tweeting,

whatever other dumb shit goes on in life that people think is difference-making.

It really isn't.

But there are things that are difference-making.

And the first and most important thing you can do to insulate yourself from stupid bullshit

is to know the right stuff, the correct answer.

And this has been a problem throughout all of human history and one that was solved in many ways
