Hello and welcome once again to the cinephiles where each week we enter the world of a great

film, we explore its themes, the history, the filmmaking, and the influence it has on

us today.

My name is Steve Morris and I am a filmmaker and directing instructor in Los Angeles, California.

Hello, my name is John Roca, I'm a writer, producer and host here in San Diego, California

and really excited to be diving into this movie, Steve, 90 minutes of absolute horror that

neither of us had seen before we decided to do this as an episode for the cinephiles thanks

to an urging from one of our patrons.

That's right.

This is a cinephiles first in many, many ways and one of them is what you just said, which

is not only that we've done films before where you had never seen it or I had never seen

it.

We have never done a film where both of us came to it absolutely fresh and the other thing

that's unique about this is that we are doing this for a unique reason, which is as we recently

redid all of our patrons, we created one tier that was above and beyond all the others

because we wanted to give people an opportunity if they really, really wanted us to do a particular

film to enter the billion dollar box office smash level and pay us $500 to do a film of

their choice.

Assume it was a film that we actually wanted to do.

Exactly.

That's always the caveat.
