| 0:38.3 | because this episode is going to be an absolute banger. And I'm going to jump this right off with my |
| 0:43.2 | quote. And hey, this is the fit, healthy, and happy podcast. So I wanted my quote to be centered |
| 0:48.5 | around a little bit more of happiness today. And what's really unique about this, this is by |
| 0:52.6 | Joseph Barbara, Barbera. And anyways, |
| 0:56.7 | he's actually a mobster, which is interesting. So we're going to be hearing a mobster talk about |
| 1:00.8 | happiness a little bit with this quote, which is kind of jokes. But his quote is, |
| 1:04.4 | happiness is the real sense of fulfillment that comes from hard work. And the reason I like this, |
| 1:10.2 | too, I think happiness can be approached in so many different ways, but I do know that we feel really happy and, you know, we've mentioned this before when we're living and challenging ourselves, right? You know, when we're challenging ourselves and we're feeling accomplished, when we're getting things done, when we feel like we have that sense of fulfillment and purpose, it really kind of gets everything going around. Usually, I know for myself personally, when I don't have a lot going on, when I don't feel very challenged, those are the times where I feel less happy, right? But when you overcome that big obstacle, you know, whether it be, you know, something you're struggling through, like an injury, you know, as you start to progress through that and you start to realize you have the capability, you really do realize that sense of happiness that comes from that fulfillment. And, you know, hard work at the end of the day, hard work pays, you know, put that work in, you see that result. So I just thought this is a really cool quote that I wanted to share today. Yeah, I love it, man. Definitely, absolutely, just something that I'm 100% a fan of. and i always love to relate back to just hard work and how great it feels to accomplish something and put in that effort so i think that's amazing and uh you know jumping into my quote uh and this one hit me pretty hard uh you know lately i think i've been a little more attached to these quotes it just seems like i've been thinking more about them and trying to like relate them back to just everything that's going on in my life and like instead of just bringing one up that you know it's just |
| 2:20.8 | sounds cool and stuff i'm like wow what's like actually like moving my moving my life in different |
| 2:26.1 | directions and this one was pretty cool think of it like this you're always one decision away |
| 2:31.2 | from a completely different life and this one was just like wow i'm I'm like, I'm like, wow, it's just, it's inspiring. It's just like, we're always in control of our life. As I've always said on this podcast, I truly believe things don't happen to you. They happen because of you. But like, this quote just reminds me that like all it takes is just one different decision. Like I've made a lot of amazing decisions in my life |
| 2:50.9 | a lot of really poor decisions but just like that one small thing like can just give you a completely |
| 2:55.9 | different like 360 or 180 approach to your lifestyle and it's just like crazy to think about like |
| 3:01.8 | whether it's like hiring a coach or like you know deciding to just finally talk to that one person |
| 3:06.0 | or just reach out to an old friend or like start that one business or like whatever it is just like we're always one decision. Like we're always like one meal away to getting back on track as I always say as well, which is pretty cool. But like just that one small choice. And when you think of like if your life is going so freaking well, like all it takes is that one thing to kind of turn it around, which sucks, but you can also take that in the other other direction and turn it around positively, right? If your life is just kind of down and you're down and out and, you know, struggling, like, all it takes is that one thing just to get you back and then boom, your life's a lot better. And I thought that was pretty inspiring because it can change with like the snap of a finger as I've been snapping in the background here. So definitely something to think about that's been inspiring. |
