Wood Prairie Family Farms
A small family farm on the edge of Maine’s North Woods is located just six miles from the Canadian border.
For over 45 years they have dedicated themselves to time-honored organic regenerative farming practices and building up the fertile soil of Wood Prairie Family Farm.
Certified Organic by MOFGA (USDA-Accredited) since 1982. Their organic crops are sold to customers like you through their website and their FREE mail order catalog.
Check them out and use my code JILL5 for 5% off.

Organic REV
The first thing to understand about REV is that it is not an ordinary humic acid product that is chemically-extracted from leonardite, lignite, or other coals.
Rather, it is a 100% naturally-occurring carbon, humic acid & fulvic acid source - along with exceptionally high levels of naturally-occurring microbial biomass
that can increase nitrogen efficiency by up to 25%.  REV replaces depleted soil carbon & bacterial biomass - and absorbs nutrients to make them more readily
available to plants via their root systems.

Hey there and welcome to the podcast. I'm so glad you're here. In the off season, often we

0:05.7

evaluate what garden tools we would like to acquire, particularly when many of the items are on

0:12.1

sale for the holidays. But it's hard to know what tools are really worth it and what will end up

0:17.8

collecting dust before years end. I think we've all had that experience before.

0:23.4

I know as a consumer, though, I really trust people who I know are using different products

0:29.1

and they can tell me their honest opinion on whether something is worth it or not.

0:33.5

And I feel in the gardening space, I have that ability and responsibility, almost, to be

0:39.9

able to share those things with you. Many of the products that I use and test are products

0:45.5

that companies send to me to try, and I definitely am vetting those out before I bring them to you.

0:51.6

But some of them are just products that I want to try because I've

0:55.1

seen them for sale and I've bought them myself.

0:58.4

So regardless of which of those applies, my purpose is to be able to bring these to you

1:03.7

and tell you what I am using and what I find has been worth it.

1:08.7

In today's episode, then, I'm going to share with you some of the gardening

1:12.1

tools and items that I have found myself using and turning to over and over. To me, that's the

1:19.0

true test of whether something is worth it. Do I use it after the luster has faded? If you're looking

1:25.5

to upgrade, or if you need a gift idea for another gardener in your

1:29.3

life, or if you have family asking you for holiday gift ideas, here are some items that I have

1:36.0

found myself returning to throughout the season. And that last part is the criteria that I use to be

1:42.7

able to bring you the products that I'm bringing

1:44.2

you today on the podcast.

1:46.2

I thought about what products did I find myself reaching for in my everyday gardening life
