Organic REV
The first thing to understand about REV is that it is not an ordinary humic acid product that is chemically-extracted from leonardite, lignite, or other coals.
Rather, it is a 100% naturally-occurring carbon, humic acid & fulvic acid source - along with exceptionally high levels of naturally-occurring microbial biomass
that can increase nitrogen efficiency by up to 25%.  REV replaces depleted soil carbon & bacterial biomass - and absorbs nutrients to make them more readily
available to plants via their root systems.

Hi there and welcome back to the Beginners Garden podcast. Today we're going to be visiting a topic

0:07.0

that so many of you all have asked to hear more about, growing fruit and specifically blueberries.

0:13.8

Blueberries were one of the first crops I planted as a first time gardener. As a new stay-at-home mom,

0:18.8

I specifically chose crops to grow that year that would be more

0:22.4

economical to grow than to purchase, and blueberries were at the top of the list. And now after 11

0:29.6

seasons, I can say that that was one of the best decisions I made. While we didn't get as many

0:35.4

blueberries that first year as expected, each year produced more and more out of the four bushes I made. While we didn't get as many blueberries that first year as expected, each year produced

0:39.0

more and more out of the four bushes I planted. Within a couple of years, I started selling excess

at the farmer's market. Now, I mainly eat them fresh, or our whole family eats them fresh.

0:49.9

I freeze them. I give them away to a few friends. And to be honest, I share with the birds.

0:55.8

I don't worry too much about the birds taking some because there's plenty to go around.

1:00.4

We have more than we need.

1:02.9

If that sounds like something you would like to add to your garden, the main thing you need to know is how to get started right.

1:09.6

And to help you do that, I'm bringing back to you

1:11.6

a conversation I had with Dr. Lee Reich back in 2018. Dr. Lee Reich has graduate degrees in

1:18.6

soil science and horticulture and is an avid fruit grower. What I enjoy about him is he makes

1:25.1

concepts simple for the everyday gardener to understand. So today he's

1:29.2

going to talk to us about how important soil pH is for your blueberries, what to do if your

1:34.9

soil pH isn't ideal, how to grow blueberries in containers, and how to choose the right

1:40.6

kind for your location, among other blueberry growing best practices.

1:45.6

It was enjoyable for me listening to this conversation five years later, and I know you're

1:50.0

going to learn so much. A quick note, though, since this was recorded early on in my podcast
