0:42.3	And today's episode is all about discernment. I had a great conversation with Dr. Everett Piper. He's the host of the Rebellion podcast, which is one of those podcasts that I listen to on a regular basis. He was the president of Oklahoma
0:55.6	Wesleyan University for a great many years, and he is no stranger to how institutions, particularly
1:01.8	Christian colleges, can begin to drift left or drift into more progressive ideologies. We're
1:08.3	going to talk all about that on the show today, just the little
1:10.9	compromises that can pop up, how things can happen from the bottom up or the top down, and just
1:17.4	how important it is that when things begin to pop up, we address it immediately. Because one of the
1:24.9	things I've said on this podcast a lot is that if your church, if your institution, whatever it might be, if you are not actively protecting yourself against a leftward drift, that is the natural default position is to drift into error.
1:40.5	You have to actually fight for truth. You have to be vigilant and very intentional to make sure that you guard the mission of your institution. And I was listening to a sermon this week by Johnny Artivannis, and he said something that really struck me. And he was talking about evil. He said, evil is not stagnant. Evil is progressive and it is
2:03.9	aggressive. And I think that is so well put. And so I'm going to get to that conversation in just a
2:09.9	moment. But I wanted to answer a question that has come in through my email, my inbox, and on
2:16.6	social media. I've been asked about this quite a bit,
2:19.2	and I wanted to take a few minutes to explain. So a few podcasts ago, you may have noticed that I
2:24.7	said, I no longer can recommend Biola University anymore for Christian parents to send their
2:30.8	students. And I received a lot of questions about that. People were saying,
2:34.1	you guys were like, can you elaborate on that? Because I think, you know, a lot of people just
2:39.2	weren't aware that there's some stuff going on at Biola. So I wanted to take a moment and comment on that.
2:44.8	I recently this week posted on X about it, on Facebook. I was just trying to answer the question.
