We have been just plugging away at this series. As a matter of fact, just before we hit the record button, we were just philosophizing and trying to just really take these incredibly robust concepts and almost kind of like practice talking about them in a way that feels like it's really digestible. So let's see how we can do.

Nathan, do you want to just give us a little bit of a review, just an overview of what we

talked about last time in this episode or this series where we're talking about the

correlation between patriarchy and abuse and violence?

Yeah.

So what we kind of touched on in our last series was sort of this idea that first of all, when you have hierarchies and power structures, there will be an inevitable consequence of violence. And there's a couple steps in between, but ultimately, any kind of power structure will lead to violence from the person in power or the group in power against the subordinate power.

And we read some statistics and some quotes from a book that Valerie has read that's really had an impact on her called gender equality and

reconciliation.
