Good to be back. Hello. Beautiful. Hey. Yeah. We are on the second part of our conversation about how patriarchy impacts different populations

of people in terms of making people vulnerable to violence and abuse.

This is the second half of a conversation that we opened on the Monday episode talking about how patriarchy sets

men up to be violent with and abuse other men. This conversation, we talked about workplace

exploitation and abuse, bullying and hazing and sexual exploitation. Just kind of touched on

sexual exploitation and we're going to go deeper into that moving forward with other populations.

And I think what we're going to do right now is let's go ahead and start talking about how patriarchal systems set men up to really hurt one another when it comes to the military and gang violence.

Those are very male heavy situations.

And so do you want to go ahead and start us off on that? Yeah, I would be happy to. I think when I think about male-on-male violence,

a couple of things come to my mind. But when we talk about militarization and gang violence,

I want to use an example of my own childhood. When I was in middle school,

I was a pretty decent basketball player. And so in the south, if you were a male, it was like an

expectation that you played sports. And it was also really an expectation that you played football plus something else.
